CJC-1295 (With DAC) is a long-acting synthetic analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), engineered with a Drug Affinity Complex (DAC) technology that enables covalent binding to serum albumin. This albumin conjugation dramatically extends the peptide's half-life to approximately 6–8 days, enabling sustained, non-pulsatile elevation of growth hormone levels in research models. Mechanism of Action

CJC-1295 (With DAC) binds to the GHRH receptor on pituitary somatotrophs, stimulating GH synthesis and secretion. The DAC moiety — a maleimidopropionic acid linker — reacts with the free thiol group of Cys34 on serum albumin, forming a stable covalent bond that protects the peptide from enzymatic degradation and renal clearance.
